My Pretty Little Liars Book Project Announcement!



Attention all fans of Pretty Little Liars!






Just a quick announcement to let you know I am working on a big big project!  It involves notebooks, and highlighters, and late nights, oh my!

The TV show Pretty Little Liars (@PLLTVSeries) aired on ABC Family/Freeform from 2010-2017. The series follows four girls; Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields, and Hanna Marin; as they deal with life after the disappearance of their 5th friend, Alison DiLaurentis, and are stalked by the mysterious "A".

For those of you who maybe DON'T know, the PLL tv series is based on a young adult book series by Sara Shepard (@sarabooks).  Well, at least it's based on the first few books. As the show was running and new books were coming out in tandem, they did diverge in some BIG ways. For my current article project, I will be focusing only on the books.

I did not watch Pretty Little Liars during its original run on TV.  Instead, I binged it on Netflix. Twice. Then, when it was sadly removed from the streaming service (don't worry - it will be available on the new platform HBO Max starting in Spring 2020), I turned to the book series to get my Liars fix.

I recently finished reading the Pretty Little Liars books by Sara Shepard (@sarabooks) - yes, all 18 of them. And you know what I did immediately after? I started over!  Only this time, I am taking notes, and working on a very special article that will be coming out (when I finish rereading-all 18-again!) regarding the BOOKS.

If you are a fan of the show but haven't read the books yet, I HIGHLY recommend getting into the series (hint: don't read the prequel first!) It's enough like the series to satisfy the void, but so much different that you won't be bored at all!  Annnnnd if you start now, you may just beat be to finishing again and be able to read my super spoiler super special project I am working on when I am done!!!

I am currently on my re-read of book 4, and being as anal as Spencer Hastings in my detailed notes! (So, it may take a bit of time before the project is ready to share with you.)


In the meantime, make sure you WATCH and READ everything #PLL!

  • The Series is not currently included with any streaming services. It will be included on HBO Max in the Spring of 2020.
